John Currey

John Currey's work consists of ceramic ugly jugs and mugs, vessels with exaggerated expressions sculpted into them. The purposes of these faces are to entertain and make his viewers laugh. As a group, the works create a conversation or suggest a narrative, with each jug or mug reacting to one of the others.
